Neuse River Rabbitry
My wife and I have been raising rabbits since 2009.
We are a small 32 hole rabbitry in eastern North Carolina, and specialize in pure bred Mini Rex rabbits. All of our Mini Rex are fully Pedigreed from excellent stock. We attend rabbit shows on a regular basis and continue to breed for quality.
All of our rabbits have spacious cages, and are fed once daily, and watered twice daily. We do administer some anti-parasitics, and coccidicistats as a precautionary measure to ensure your rabbit is parasite free and healthy. Medical records and breeding information are always provided to anyone purchasing a rabbit.
We have many grades of rabbits available:
PET QUALITY
Consists of good tempered rabbits that may have flaws that would prohibit them from being shown (slightly overweight, ears longer than 3 1/2", unrecognized colors, etc). Most of these "flaws" that make a rabbit unshowable are issues dealing with nail color, belly color, long ears, etc.........all minor issues that do not affect health in any way.
BROOD QUALITY
Animals that have good body and type, but have long ears, or pulled nails (most common). These animals are a step above pet quality, but contain minor things that prevent them from being showable that can be "bred out" of the animal (example.....long ears). The most common "brood" buck or doe is one that is showable, but with a pulled nail or two.
SHOW QUALITY
Animals that meet the standard of excellence for the breed as put forth by the ARBA American Rabbit Breeders Association. These may or may not have minor faults, but meet the standard to show at an ARBA sponsored rabbit show.
Sale information and conditions:
While we take excellent care of our rabbits and guarantee you will get a healthy animal, we cannot provide a guarantee of any kind after purchase for several reasons.
1) We have have no idea what a person does to the animal once it is out of our hands.
2) Animals are living creatures, not DVD players. Some may have congenital defects that do not present until later, etc. We DO cull out any rabbits with problems, but some may slip through the cracks.
After we have sold a rabbit (purchased as-is, where is) we cannot be responsible for anything other than a refund of the purchase price.
We encourage all who buy a rabbit from us to PLEASE inspect your rabbit thoroughly for any problems or concerns. It is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure they are happy with the rabbit before the purchase.
We cannot guarantee that an animal can or cannot breed successfully. If we have knowledge of this we will certainly share that with you, but there are just too many variables involved to make such claims.
Thanks for taking a look at our site. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Thank you!
